    Could some-one do a look up on the 1851 census please.

    Frances Flavell Female. born 1808 Sedgley, Staffordshire.

    I have checked Ancestry until l am blue in the face

      This is her on the 1841.

      Class HO107. Piece 998 Book 5. Civil parish Sedgley. Folio 8 Page 9

      Transcribed as Flevil

      She and husband are missing on 1851, but some of children are with relatives.

      She remarries in 1854.

      She was my gg grandmother and l would love to know where she got to in 1851 lol

            I had a look, too. I also had some ideas about likely mistranscriptions - but still no joy. I can imagine a script Fl looking like H, and a/o are similar, and v/w... so it could easily have appeared as Howell. But I still didn't find anything.

                Hi Pam, Sorry I cant find them..Hope you have more luck with the Flavells than I do lol..
