good morning...re 1841 census for Astley,Shropshire...could someone please check the parents of the following in astley(and the address if possible)
ADAMS surname
ann b 1828
mary b 1830
WILLIAM (my gg grandfather)1834
martha b 1835
hannah b 1840
I have the parents as Thomas b 1806 and mary b 1812
an Adams descendant has a different father...could someone please confirm for me please...thanks...allan;)

The adults in the same household are listed as Mary aged 40 and Thomas aged 35.

The 1841 does not show relationships between the head of the household and other members shown so you cannot be 100% sure that Mary and Thomas are actually the parents!

Can see a Martha & William christened on IGI, but Myddle, not Astley

Both to parents Thomas & Mary - might or might not be yours

MC should show the father's name and occupation, of both bride and groom.

thanks Jess...Thomas was born in Marton Middle and Mary was born in Myddle...2 villages literally 2 and 3 miles away from Astley...cheers...allan

thanks Elaine.......I`m going to go to shrops bmd...I might just be lucky..Sarahs nmaiden name was also Adams...it might be on the birth certs of the children.......fingers crossed........allan;) ADDED...nothing for Hannah b 1840...only 2 hannah adams for 1839 one in Wem and 1 in ellesmere....allan
