Cheers Merry , right most of mine are just loose ends and finding deaths inless anyone has any parish records as Im sick looking in free reg and finding nothing for some of them ;;
will start of with My Samuel Revill who was married to Ann Steer I have him them on 1861 Census but carnt find him on 1851 or 1841 ;;this is 1861 one
Samuel was born ab 1811 in Ashwell Rutland England
and
Ann Steer was born ab 1811 Eastwood Nottinghamshire
they had 3 children John Stear Revill b 1839 Loughborough Liecestershire
Ann Revill b1846 Ilkston Derbyshire
Mary Bathya Revill b 13 Jan 1855 Ilkston Derbyshire
I have no marriage cert for Samuel and Ann as well
Babs - have you checked whether these are possible siblings (from IGI)
MARY MARIA REVEL
Christening: 17 DEC 1843 Wesleyan Methodist, Ilkeston Circuit, Derby, England
SAMUEL INMAN REVEL
Christening: 14 FEB 1841 Wesleyan Methodist, Ilkeston Circuit, Derby, England
ANN REVELL
Christening: 09 NOV 1845 Wesleyan Methodist, Ilkeston Circuit, Derby, England
WILLIAM HINMAN REVILLE
Christening: 27 AUG 1848 Wesleyan Methodist, Ilkeston Circuit, Derby, England
The children seemed a bit spread out - was just trying to see if there were any more which would help pinpoint them in 1841.
If the IGI entries are siblings then it looks as if they should be in Ilkeston in 1841 ... but I can´t see them at the moment!
Have a look at this 1841
HO107; Piece 189; Book: 2; Civil Parish: Ilkeston; County: Derbyshire; Enumeration District: 5; Folio: 5; Page: 4; Line: 12; GSU roll: 241293.
name on image is Webel!
look at the image - mother is Ann
there is a 5 year old Alice
2 year old John (matches John Steer b1839)
4 month old Samuel Inman (matches IGI entry - christened 14 Feb 1841)
- living in Ilkeston
No Samuel senior there, but I see on one of the census he was a boatman so maybe away on census night.
Samuel Revill - burial 1843 age 3, Ilkeston Derbyshire (NBI)
William Inman Revill - burial 1851 age 2, Ilkeston Derbyshire (NBI)
Mary Maria Revill - buial 1844, age 1, Ilkeston Derbyshire (NBI)
Loads of kids but thats only census I have , Im sure these have been lost when ancestry was messing about as they had children right up to 1860 as far as I have down ;;
