  • Confession! Mea Culpa!

I asked for help/advice but in all innocence I provided incorrect information.

This caused many of you to waste time and effort in trying to help me.

    I do appologise.

I asked for help with my Moran (Liverpool-Irish) grandparents, and children, as it was my first foray into English records and I was getting nowhere. The names were Thomas Peter Moran and Ellen Mary O'Neil.

Her name is actually Ellen Brent! A spot check on FreeBMD shows this makes more sense and ties in with other information I have received.

    Sackcloth and ashes.

    CORRECTION,

Her surname is BENT not BRENT.

Never mind Hugo. It happens to us all. I try hard but I often find mistakes in what I've written :o

Hugo, I spent a couple of days researching the extremely interesting Harold Dennis.... only to realise I should have been looking at the worthy but dull Leopold Davis.

At least you have spotted your mistake.

              Phoenix,

I don't mind (much) if I chase down a wrong trail but I am unhappy if I cause others to do so on my behalf.

Thanks to all who have been so understanding.

PS Little Nell, No-one has accused me of that before.
