  • Wiltshire Parish Registers

I thought I'd have a look at a branch I haven't looked at before and they are from Wiltshire - Beechingstoke, North Newnton and Hilcot so far.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this county? Are there any transcribed parish records or is the good coverage on the IGI?

I've had a quick search on google but everything I can find wants me to buy CD's.

    Wiltshire online parish clerks site:
    Wiltshire OPC

But Beechingstoke and North Newnton don't seem to have OPC's yet. As for Hilcot, I can't see it listed on there at all - is it part of another parish, perhaps?

Find My Past has quite good coverage of Wiltshire Baptisms pre 1837 but I'm not sure of the parishes included. They also have the Sarum Marriage Licence Bonds which cover Wilstshire. I think you can probably still access the same info on Family History Online -whichever one is best value for you!
