Help wanted with Roots Magic

Hi everyone,

I'm running latest version of RM, no problems on that score, however I want to send a part of it via a Gedcom to a contact. The only way I can see to do this, is to clone the database and delete the entries I don't want to send one by one (about 800).

Surely there must be an easier way, but I can't find it, there's nowt on RM faq's.

Anyone got any ideas??

It is a bit time consuming but it can be done.

When you click on Export Gedcom on the File Menu, you should get a box come up offering you options.

Top left
"Who do you want to Export
Everyone
Selected People

If you click on Select People a list will come up of all the people on your database

Highlight the first person you want to select. Click on "Select People" at the top and you will be offered more options such as adding that persons family or ancestors or descendants.

My version of RM is quite old but I hope that helps.
