  • Lost on 1881 census

    Ipswich, Suffolk

Please can you help me find Sarah Sporle on 1881 census.

Sarah Hephzibah Smith married Henry Sporle in 1864.

Henry died in 1871 and Sarah remarried in 1887 to Robert Horrex.
I have them on the following censuses but cannot find Sarah in 1881

    1871 census RG10; Piece: 1753; Folio: 107; Page: 5

    1891 census RG12; Piece: 1409; Folio 94; Page 1

    Thanks
    Kat

You had a hard enough fight to find them in 1871 and 1891, Kat!

I can't see her anywhere in 1881, certainly if she is known as Sarah, or giving a birthplace of Halesworth.

Blinkety flip, night owl has found her - saying she is 13 years younger than her twin?

Yes , 13 years, but it is her, Jackie, thanks so much.

I'd been searching Sarah +/- 5 years but was obviously not far enough each side.

This Sporle family is a nightmare, Phoenix, Spoole Spall Sparle Lporle....now Snorle:D
