    Hi Clare

They've got the Essex County Standard for 1905 on microfilm. If you Google Essex Record Office you can search as a guest or if you use your Essex Library ticket number you can register.

I just put Essex newspapers in the search box and a 1905 in the date box.

They have the Clacton News and East Essex Advertiser for 1905.
These Archives are new as they have come over from Clacton
Library and they are not in their Catalogue of items.

Just in case anyone else needs to look at these archives ;)

            Hi Clare
Other newspapers which were in publication in 1905 are the Essex Chronicle, the East Anglian Daily Times and the Southend Standard. I think the main Chelmsford library has archive Essex newspapers on microfilm and the Southend library has the Southend Standard on microfilm and may also have Essex newspapers. Telephone no for Southend library is 01702 534100.

Thank you for the info Maureen.
I called Chelmsford Library who have Essex Chronicle for 1905 on Microfiilm.

I called Clacton library. They have another local newspaper, cant remember the
name on microfilm. They will look for me as I live out of the area and get back to me.
