  • Tribal Pages and Invitations

I have several trees on Tribal Pages which I continue to access from my favourites, signing in with the old visitor password.

The other day, I sent my first invitation since the rules re visitor password changed. I also e-mailed the person concerned giving them the old visitor password in case they needed it. They have now informed me they cannot access the tree.

I have tried to recreate what a new invitee might see by deleting my saved password, sending an invitation to myself on a different e-mail account and following the link, but it all still looks the same to me!

Does anyone know what a new visitor sees now when they follow the link on an invitation please? Alternatively, would someone be prepared to let me have their e-mail address so that I can send them an invitation to the tree to test if they can access it?

      Thanks Elaine!

      I've sent you an invitation.

(I also replied to this a couple of minutes ago - maybe I didn't press "post")

          Thank you Elaine.

I'll have to go and read TP help/forum pages again - perhaps the new visitor password arrangements only apply to paid accounts?

If you have several trees on TP, they are now all under one password - whichever was the latest password you made. That should work.

              Thanks Terri.

Mine seems to be different. I created each tree from a different e-mail account and still seem to access the editing feature of each by the old e-mail and password.

Obviously, I need to have a proper sort-out there. The perfect job for a very wet Saturday!
