  • OOh OOh Ooh!!

After my success with my Alexanders in Wiltshire, I decided to search FindMyPast's marriages from the Parish Records Collection.

Some of you may remember our visit to Lincolnshire earlier in the year, and finding OH's 5xgreat-grandparents' grave in Braceby churchyard (died 1793 (Ann) and 1804 (Thomas)).

Well! I had the marriage for Thomas and Ann 9 Jan 1771 Threekingham from the Parish Registers.

    Now:
    Year 1771
    Thos Newton
    From elsewhere
    WIDOWED
    40
    Ann Dawson
    From the parish
    Single 26
Data provider: Lincolnshire Family History Society

So, I wondered about Thomas' age - he already had had a wife. Now - are there any children??

    Woo hoo!

    Lovely to make a breakthrough.

Mind you, when I've done similar, although I get excited if I find children I also think - oh heavens umpteen more marriages and deaths to find and future generations to trace!
