  • Journeyman Square Worker

Does anyone know what a Square Worker is please? Francis Wm Kahler (mis-transcribed as Kabler) has this as his occupation on the 1901 census. The ref is RG13, Piece 4354, Folio 74, Page 5. He is head of the 2nd family down. On the previous census he was a Coal Carter.

      No, I tried:D

The closest I could get was on the Victorian occupations site & that was a Squarewright or cabinet maker. It seems a bit of of a leap from being a coal carter.
