Do you know the place where Robert & Charlotte were born and where they married?

      Welcome to FTF, anndot.

Are the people who married in 1958 still alive? if they are, you'll have to delete them from your post. It's against FTF rules to mention living people on the Research board, because all the threads can be seen by anyone who searches for the names on Google etc.

Also suggest that you apply for the marriage cert for Gwendolen and Robert this will give you their ages and from this you will be able to work out the year they were born. Do you have the reference for the cert if not I can give you this. If they are still alive I can email it to you.

The elder children, George and Elizabeth were born in Gurnsey and Ireland
            That could make things complicated

Ann, As you are not arround I've deleted the names of the potential living people in your post for the time being. If you can confirm they are dec'd then the names can go back!

I noticed the bride in 1958 had a middle initial which might help your search. Also if she is dec'd and died after Q2 1969 then her date of birth will be on the GRO death index.

Robert Warman b 1809 was in the army - listed as a Chelsea pensioner in 1851. His army record is available to buy via The National Archive website:

WO 97/829/72 ROBERT WARMAN Born INGRAVE, Essex Served in 70th Foot Regiment Discharged aged 40 1825-1847

(this could contain a wealth of info!)

                  There's a Thomas Warman born in Salford, Lancs ... Jun Q 1845

Isn't that a suburb of Manchester (his pob on the 1851 census)

Might be worth getting the birth cert

Here's Samuel in 1871 ... married and with grandmother in household ... 82 year old Susan Tyler

Could this be Charlotte's mother (and maiden name) ?

Let's hope the widow Tyler was only married the once though and also that Charlotte was born in wedlock!
