I think the first letter is a P, going by the Porter on page 1, and the same occupation appears on P3, written a little more clearly, with ag added after it.
I searched Pench* as occupation on 1881 and the results seem to be badly spelled pensioners.
I thought at first it was a P. Then I enlarged the image to 150% and could detect the faint line of the rest of a B. I deduced the occupation from his 1861 occupation of carpenter. Of course if he died from getting too close to the circular saw in the manner of James Bond that would clinch it.
Uncle John - I thought the same about the faint line making it a B, and even used the little magnifying glass firefox add-on for a closer look. But James Barolo's occupation, on P3, looks very like Robert Rust's. As Robert died relatively young, I thought there was maybe the possibility of a sick pension of some sort?
