Did two sisters marry two brothers or is it just a coincidence??
Am researching my husband's tree and his gt gt grandmother was a Margaret Kirkby b.1846 Manchester. She married a George Baker b.1846 Liverpool (parents from Warwickshire). Margaret's sister, Mary b. 1839 Manchester also married a Baker..... William Henry Baker b. 1839 Birmingham, Warwicks. In 1871 census the two families are living in Manchester together.
Can anyone find a connection?? Its got me stumped!
Oh yes, the sister Mary and husband William H had a very famous daughter...
the opera singer, Louisa Kirkby Lunn!!
Would love to see if there is a connection??
