I have the report of the death of Charles Pratt who was the vicar of Packington, Leicestershire.
Charles died aged 89 on the 6th November 1908.
He was born c1820 in Peterborough, Nottinghamshire.
The newspaper reports that:
"His father had been incumbent of Packington from 1823 to 1853, and lived to such an age that the present deceased was designated Rev. Charles Pratt, jun. when he was 70 about which time his father died."
However, the last time I see Charles Pratt Snr, is in 1871:
Class: RG10; Piece: 1350; Folio: 61; Page: 1
Charles Pratt Snr is 78 and Charles Pratt Jnr is 51. So, for Charles Pratt Jnr to be in his 70s when his Dad died, Charles Pratt Snr had to be 97+ when he died, but as I said I cannot see any reference to anything after 1871.
Anyone any ideas?
Thanks,
Tom
