Oh piffle - Ancestry AGAIN!!

I have just discovered that I can give access to my tree to the person asking about an ancestor but I can't send him a message because I haven't renewed. I never thought I would miss my Ancestry subscription in the summer - because I only do genealogy from October to May :(

I wouldn't give access to my tree anyway. I would just ask for email address and sent what info is actually connected to them and nothing more from my FTM.

Do you mean you can't reply to their query about your tree?
