  • Identical e-mail received repeatedly

I ran into some octogenarian friends of my late mother the other day. They arranged to send a scan of a newspaper article of mutual interest to my e-mail address.

I received their first attempt this morning - minus the scan they were trying to attach. Instead of the usual entry in the date column, only the time (11.03am) is shown. The e-mail provider is onwight.net. The "from" line is prefixed with an icon stating "this sender is DomainKeys verified".

Each time I have signed back into yahoo today, a fresh copy of the e-mail, still timed at 11.03, has arrived. The total so far is 8!!

Can anyone suggest how I can stop fresh ones arriving without blocking the sender?

(I have to go out shortly, but have visions of dozens of the things waiting in my inbox on my return!!)

A date is often not shown if received today (on the same day as it is being viewed).

    That is normal.

All i can suggest is to contact the sender of the emails. If that does not help, contact the sender's ISP (onwight.net)

      Thanks Dave.

Glad to know all the onwight/domainkeys stuff is normal. I'll wait to see if the problem persists tomorrow then and decide what to do from there.
