  • Dent Plant and Alice Day

I'm struggling to find any info on my 5x great grandparents.

I know they were married in Spalding on 27 October 1806 and had at least the following children

    Mary born 1807
    John born 1808
    William born 1811

If anybody has more information on this couple especially their ancestors then I would be so grateful.

    Regards Bryan

    Have you tried the IGI?

    these must be related somewhere

    SUSANNAH PLANT

    Father DEUT PLANT
    Mother REBECCA
    Christened 16 JUN 1830 Spalding,

    Died 24 DEC 1832

    this is their marriage
    DENT PLANT REBECCA DARBY
Marriage: 02 SEP 1816 Spalding, Lincoln, England

the only records for Dent marring Alice Day are submitted - so should be treated with caution

        Mmmmmm

Wonder if this is your Alice, not long after the marriage though. Burial details from the Lincs FHS database

Alice PLANT Date 29 Feb 1816 Aged 33, Spalding Description St Mary & St Nicholas

Looking at the burial date it could quite easily be your Alice and the marriage Jess has posted is a 2nd marriage for Dent??

Looks like the family were in the area for a few years after the above burial
Dent PLANT Date 11 Jan 1831 Aged 55, Spalding St Mary & St Nicholas

Well it is a transcribed entry on familyhistoryonline, but i figured it was worth posting, it is certainly one you couldn't forget if they are in your tree.

Sorry Byran hope we have not upset you especially as this is your first thread but we do joke around on here. I have posted a lot of information as you can see but if you can give us more information we can see what else we can find. I noticed there are a lot of peeps called Dent Plant on ancestry from Lincs as this is not a very common christian name I would think may be they are related in some way.
