  • Help reThe Genealogist On Line Records

Has anyone got access to the On Line records for The Genealogist.
They have for FLINTSHIRE the 1841 and 1851 Census Transcripts.
I am looking for a MARY GILBERT born 1829 in Bullington, Flintshire. Her father was Abraham Gilbert.
    Any help would be appreciated

Thanks again for additional 1851 info.
I wonder whether her birth place was Bronington as well as I can find no trace of a Bullington.

Mary and sister Ann are in Burton Upon Irwell in 1851 servants for a William Welsh and family.

They are living in Hanmer in 1841 and the other children have Hanmer as place of birth in 1851 so it's likely her birth place is around that area.

                  Thanks again Fiona.
You are much quicker than I am at looking these things up I am only just looking at the 1851 Census you origanally mentioned!!!
I shall look to see if there is a Bullington near Hanmer.
On the 1841 Census I have noticed an Abraham Gilbert in Montgomeryshire and he is also a Carpenter which is what Mary's father was in her Marriage Parish Records in Manchester. He appears to be with 2 sons which would fit in with the 1841 census details you found. What do you think

Just checked a map----Hanmer and Bronington are next door to each other.

I think the 1841 is very likely to be Abraham, there is a baptism for a William 1823 Hanmer, on the igi and he isn't with the mother in 1841.
