  • I'm not sharp enough to find these Sharps

Ada Sharp married John Sharkey in 1893. The parish records give her parents as Robert and Margaret. She had a sister Jessie who is living with her in 1901.
According to the 1901 census she was born 1870 in Manchester and Jessie born 1874. Can anyone find her and her family?

Wonder if this could be Jessie with Aunt Mary Griffiths and some other siblings?

This looks like Mary Griffiths in 1901 and Genevieve seems to have turned into Janet E Sharp.

                  Oh my goodness.

I think I found the whole family in 1881 but for some reason Robert is now John Griffiths. Ada, Margaret, Jessie and all the other children match with Sharp children found with parents and Aunt. John is a Cotton Dyer as Robert was on the 1871 census.

                  Must be them!!

Well I'm glad I didn't give up. Finally noticed that Genevieve was born Radcliffe not Manchester like the others so went looking there.

Glad they were in her maiden name of Griffiths or I might have gone straight past them.
