  • Fostering records

    Hi,

Does anyone know where I can find out about someone who was fostered about 80 years ago.

    Thanks

Ooh. I know formal adoption didn't happen until 1927, not sure about fostering. There weren't social services departments around then, and it might have been an informal arrangement or organised by a charity.

    Do you know whereabouts?

Wow that was quick. It was in Lincolnshire I believe.

I suppose you could try contacting Lincolnshire Archives and/or their social services departments to see if they might know if such records would be available.
