    John McMillan (McMullan) b. abt 1844, m. to Margaret Finlayson in Aberdeen. He died bet 1879- Apr 1881. Can't see death on Scotlands People.
    Their sons :-
    John b. 1868, m. to Elizabeth Sherriffs in Aberdeen. Have no further info after 1903.
    Thomas b. 1877, Aberdeen - on 1901 Census, living in St Pancras, London and working as a Tinsmith.
    Alexander b. 1879, Aberdeen - occupation on 1901 is 'viceman' and he is still in Aberdeen in 1903 when he registered death of Eliz. (Sherriffs) McMillan, his sister-in-law.

    John McMillan's birth - can't find anything on the IGI (which was the forerunner of scotlandspeople) which I use to search first to narrow down the results before paying on scotlandspeople.

    This is perhaps because he was non-conformist or rc or the OPR's are missing.
