    Which census is it? and how old is she / where is she born?

      Ann was born c1811 in Staffordshire and it is the 1841 census.

        Just found it. lol had to go through the 51 where she is a housekeeper and the 61 where she is a mangle woman.

          very tricky.


          Card Marker, or could be Maker or Worker, although I think it does have an "r" in it.

          I have no idea what that bit in the middle says though

            Starts with C, as there's a cooper and a colour maker? on the same page. I'd say Card something though looks a bit like worker.

                If it is Card Maker, there is a definition in the Wiki - Big Book - C - Family Tree Forum

                There is also Card Nailer there
