I know most of us have been using Gale to access the Times archive, but apparently it is now free to view it directly

    Times Archive

You will have to register, and although it says its a trial period, it has not yet been confirmed if they will start charging

Hmph, apparently my surname is an "invalid word". I had to use a false name in the end!

Thanks for that Vikki, I couldn't access it from the gale link, so fingers crossed I can have a search now.

:( I've registered but they've not sent an e-mail, which means that I can not activate my account

Me too, I registered, but no e-mail. I was worried that I had put in a typo.

They do want more info once you are activated to complete registration. I slightly changed my phone number, i don't want telemarketing again!

I've found loads of things on it

But how do you print them - any ideas please? I just get blank pages :(

                                      Thanks

Thanks for this. Apparently my free trial to Gale has finished so this could be useful.

Sorry Joan, can't help with the printing. Can you right click on your mouse and copy to a Word document and print from there?
