To follow on from Peppie's thread -more weird goings on

Not trying to hijack Peppie or anything but would some non subscriber to Ancestry anything try this:

(1) Search public member trees on Ancestry uk for Jubal Smith born I836 England and try to access the Haywood/Gray tree. Ancestry uk asks me to upgrade.

(2) Go to Généalogie, arbres généalogiques et dossiers d’histoire de famille en ligne - Ancestry.fr and do the same search and bingo you're in without upgrading

But why pay to access public member trees when you just have to enter via one of their other sites - ssshhhhhhh

OK maybe I was jumping the gun a bit - when you get to that page - in the grey box enter Jubal under 'prénim' and 'smith' under 'nom' then click 'recherche'.

On next page select 'arbres généalogiques'.

Haywood/gray is the third one down
