  • Open Ofice Hidden Tables

I have been trying Open Office Writer with a story of my family tree. There are (or were) several tables as part of the narrative.

I have a hard copy print of 7 pages of text and tables.

The tables have now disappeared from view although they are available as a look-up and do not appear in the printout.

Can anyone tell me how to get the tables back, please.

Hi Hugo, Do you link to your tables or are they embedded in your OO Writer document?

Have you gone into 'Tools' and 'Options' and checked the following for OO Writer?

      Hi John,

Have just seen your reply and will have a look after I trawl through my regular genealogical forums.

      Thanks,

      Hugo

        Hi John,

Have followed your path Tools - Options OO Writer - Tables, etc and the boxes are ticked.

Not to worry as I have created a new document and did a cut & paste on the text and tables. I have been in and out of OO and the new document is still OK. I have either had finger/mouse mistake or done something I have forgotten about.

I am using OO 2.0.2 and I like it but am still a bit nervous.

Previously I had been happy with MS Word 2000 but my laptop came with MS Works which nearly drove me mad. Hence my move to OO. Besides I like the OO philosophy.
