Wills from York Office do they let you know if none exists

About a month back I downloaded a form and sent it with a cheque for £5 plus date of death....but as I have had no reply I wondered whether or not there is no will and if so do they let you know

I presume so Colin, although I have never had one that has not existed.

I wouldn't worry about the time though. I usually get mine after about 6 weeks.

Some of us have a theory that requests for Wills go into the in tray and come back out again after five weeks and three days have elapsed.....

They do indeed send you a letter if there is no will, but it can take about six weeks so you'll have to wait a bit longer.
