Hello, thanks for looking.
I have just got a camcorder and taken some clips of a gig. I can view them on the laptop but when I connected the cc to the tv I couldn't get any picture.
So I burned them to a dvd which neither of my 2 dvd players can recognise.
Then I spent an hour or so googling and looking at forums.
It seems the file extension .mod is awkward so I need to change them to .mpg
I copied one clip and renamed it test young.mpg but in properties it still says .mod - I think only the name has changed, not the extension.
So please can anyone help - there are some sites offering conversion programs but are they safe?
Is there another way to change the file extension of my test clip?
I am on Vista and the cc is a JVC GZ-MG142EK.
Hope I have made sense here! :o
Update - I have read even more forums on these .mod files and incompatibility problems.
Adobe Photoshop Elements can play the files after a fashion - sound but just grey pixels instead of pictures.
I am going to try installing the cc's software next.
Sorted - the cc software actually worked!
