  • Anybody visiting N Yorkshire Record Office in North Allerton?

If anybody is going, I could do with some help in locating any information on the following family please.

My husband's 2nd g grandmother is Ann PICKUP nee BARKER, and according to census returns she was born in Ferrensby, in the parish of Farnham in Yorkshire c1826.

From her wedding certificate to Francis PICKUP on May 29th 1852 in Leeds, her father is James BARKER, and his occupation is a smith ( I assume blacksmith). I've checked the 1841 census for Ferrensby, and Ann is not there, but there is a George BARKER age 50 whose occupation is a smith, and he could possibly be her brother, and carrying on the family trade.

If anybody can help to find some information on this family, I'll be very grateful.

Fingers crossed that somebody can go
    Pauline
