  • Cannot read the name of the place where they married...

I wondered if anyone could read the name of the place my 3x great grandparents married in?

    It was in 1873.

The Parish Church in the Parish of All Saints ??????? in the county of Warwick.

I thought it looked like Merringham but cannot find any reference to it on google.

    Thanks.

    Tom

I think the first letter is N though I can't see anything likely in the list of parishes on Genuki's Warwickshiire pages.

It says in the registration district of Birmingham. Doesn't mention a sub district. In 1871 both the bride and groom were living in Aston.

Hunningham, though it looks likely, has a church called St Margaret's, not All Saints.

Birmingham Reg district included "the wards of All Saints" - Birmingham Registration District but doesn't say where in Birmingham.

However, the link to Birmingham churches has

"All Saints Hockley, Kings Heath, Oscott, Small Heath"

Hunningham marriages are covered by the IGI.Worth a look to see if your couple are listed.

Birmingham All Saints also covered by the IGI for 1873

                      How odd.

Their marriage is on the IGI (I don't think I had realised before) and it says they married in All Saints, Birmingham.

Thomas Goode and Sarah Ann Morgan 7 July 1873.

It could well read All Saints Birmingham - can you match up the first letter with any other on the cert?
