  • 1841 census look ups please

    Hi
I am looking for two people named William Chamberlain in 1841 in Suffolk.
Surname might be transcribed as Chamberlin & even Chamberland.

    1) the William Chamberlain who was buried in Carlton Colville Suffolk on 9th Feb 1844 age 74. Would like to know his occupation (if any), whether he was born in the county and any other people in the household.
    2) the William Chamberlain who's death was registered in the Sep qtr 1841 registration district Stow. Not able to find a burial for him in the NBI.

    Any help much appreciated
    Moggie

My geography of England is pitiful and I cannot find a William Chamberlain in Stow.
There is a William Chamberlain Jr b. 1811 in Stowmarket...he was a Labourer and is living with who I assume is his father another William Chamberlain, who is a bricklayer.
PM me if you want the images.

                Hi Lyn & Elizabeth
Thanks very much for the Chamberlain info.
Because there is such good coverage for Suffolk in the NBI it does seem strange that I can't find a burial entry for William no 2.
Lyn I will PM you with my e mail address if you could send the images.
                Many thanks
                Moggie

P.S Just seen your post Merry
