  • very daft question.

hi I am resonably new to posting on this board and have a problem.
Once you have posted, HOW do you find your thread again. I totally lost one of my threads despite trawling through the pages.

If you click on your name (just above your avatar), you will see an option to find other posts that you have made.

If you go to 'Forums' in the blue bar above there's a drop down menu

      click on 'Subscribed Threads'

norwayjane - go to user tools above, user control panel, settings and options, edit options.

In messaging and notification/default thread subscription mode select no e-mail notification.

From then on, all threads to which you add will show up in subscribed threads.

The name thingy worked for me and have found my 'lost' post - Thanks Elaine

I've now altered my options as per Gillian's instructions - will have to see what happens - thanks Gillian

I'd always wondered what the subscribed reference meant - is this why sometimes I get the message "you have not subscribed to this........" I thought you were after my money (not that I have any!)

Thankyou everyone for their input. I have worked it out ( I think) The name method works and hopefully I have set up the other method as well. Seems it wasn't such a daft question after all :-)

thats okay . I have just noticed that now I have subscribed to some threads a little tick appears under the ratings column on the main list of threads. could be helpful if all else fails.

Another useful one to bookmark, in case you haven't come across it, is

This gives you an overview across all boards of postings since you last logged on. I usually enter the site that way and have a quick scroll down for any of my "ticked" threads.

                          Welcome!

                          Hallo Ausietrish

Just wanted to say welcome to the site. Explore and enjoy and remember no question is too daft to ask. I can't believe how stupid I was when I started this lark, and now I've learned so much I am astounded at how much more I have to learn!
