  • Norfolk marriages CD

If anyone has this could they kindly look for a marriage between Robert Gray/Grey and an Ann somewhere in Norfolk prob abt 1820s/30s.

Robert was baptised 1793 in Topcroft, Norfolk and wife Ann abt 1776 (yes, big age gap) in Stockton, Norfolk.

1841 they were living in Burgh St. Peter.

Sorry Nell, missed this thread earlier!

4/1/1816 Robert Gray and And Hagon at Dereham East, Norfolk

Me neither, I only knew of the ones in Kent and Dorset!

My Norfolk lot are all from East Norfolk, around the river Yare, except gt grandmother's lot who come from north Norfolk.

How can you know Anns birthplace without knowing her name? 51 census I guess

That's right Jess, though of course what it says on the census and whether its true or not are different things!

update - have used the Norfolk parish images on familysearch and found a baptism for an Ann Gaymer at the right time for her later age in censuses so this is the right marriage. Yay!

It's great when things eventually just fall into place, isn't it?

Yes, I've had a great evening yesterday re-reading all the threads I've started on FTF - there are still some outstanding mysteries but its quite cheering to see how much I've discovered.
