Did a look up today for FTF member, of an inquest held 1930s. When the nice chap at the LMA looked for the reference, it had a note saying access not available till 2010 (can't remember exact wording). He said the law had changed, so I was able to see it.
I can't find any details about this change, but thought it might help people looking for more recent coroner's records. All I can find on the internet is that records have a 75-year protection, which clearly didn't apply today.
More irritating is that my gt grandfather's inquest papers haven't survived:(
