  • Is anyone bored and has time?

    I am looking for Jacob Volhard Burwash he was born in london 1863 Islington
    maried 1886 to Francis Ester Hammant, I have found them on the 1901 census but cannot find Jacob prior to his marrriage with parents any ideas.
    Please going crossed eyed looking.

    Hm. Quick check on Ancestry reveals his birth in Jun 1862, Islington reg district, his marriage Pancras Dec 1886, and 1901 as you've found.

    I'll have a trawl through the censuses.

              Not with Josiah in 1881, so maybe different family.

                Thanks everyone not sure about his siblings that is why I want to find him on the census with his parents. Josiah I think that is a different family who's parents are William and Caroline, although they are part of my tree.

                      1871 - I wonder?

                      James Burnworth abt 1862 London, England Islington, London
                      RG10; Piece: 291; Folio: 64; Page: 62;

                      image definitely says James and surname looks like Bunworth.

                          And here he is in 1881 as Jacob A Buruish (decorator) with Hannah Thomas who was in 1871 still in the same household

                          RG11 piece 181 folio 48 page 9

                          If it is him it doesn't help with the parents

                          Jackie

                            Had another look and just put in Jacob with intial B in surname and trawled thorugh them all and came across this. I think it is him but it still does not tell me who his parents are. I tried all the names I am called as peeps seem to have a problem with this surname, but not been called this yet!!!! lol Barwast I think the orginal reads Burwash 1871 RG10, Piece 204, Folio 101, Page 27 what do you think?
