Pat, that's a lovely offer. If you have time could you please look up some marriages in Bury for me?

My old rascal Charles Alexander (sometimes misspelt as Alixander) married 4 times. He is my great-great-grandfather.

          1)
Jan 1843 Parish Church of Bury
Charles Alexander to Lavinia Hargreaves (widow) nee Merrick
          Any extra details a bonus!

          2)
          5 Aug 1850 St Mary's Bury
Charles Alexander to Mary Porritt (from whom I'm descended)
Details very welcome here, if there are any.

          3)
Mar 1856 Parish Church of Bury
Charles Alexander and Mary Ann Jackson
again, any details would be welcome

          There is another marriage,
          4) Moss Side, Christ Church, March 1861
          Charles Alexander and Ann Sylvester

I have marriage certificates for all these but I'm looking for any extra details.

If you notice any deaths/burials for the first three, that would be great but I don't expect you to look! Charles was unable to keep any of his wives alive for more than 5 years.

If this is too much to do, Pat, don't worry. I'll have to get up to Manchester one day soon myself.

Thanks, Pat, but do you own research first.
