  • 41 census lookup

    Hi;)

I am looking for Susannah Williams bc 1756 died 1844, on the 41 census. She was married to John Williams in Ruabon Denbighshire, but as yet I haven't found a death for him.

    Thank you very much
    regards

I can't see that the parish of Ruabon is on the Ancestry 1841 or 1851 census records at all. That might explain why those other Williams also seemed to be missing. :o

Without buying the certificate then I cannot see how you can be sure this is your Susannah.
If you check the 1841 census for Susan/Susannah Williams in Denbighshire there are 34 to choose from - it could be almost any one of them.

Thanks very much for all your help, this is a diffidult one I think, even though he is quite an age to be on the 41.

Ruabon isn't on Findmypast's version of the 1841 either. :(

                        This suggests the 1841 isn't Ancestry's fault!

I still can't see it in 1851 either though.

The sub registration district of Ruabon comes up on 1851 if you put it in the keyword search box - 15,000+ returns.

I keep meaning to bookmark the Family Search wiki - thanks for the reminder! Now done.

Yes, the sub-district, but not the parish itself (as far as I can see) and that's where treesa's other people (Daniel and Elinor Williams with children Margaret and Henry) should be as Henry was born Ruabon in 1840ish and they are still there in 1861 :(
