Yahoo mail alerts

I have a yahoo mail account and used to get alerts when a new email arrived, for some reason it does not work now and I have to log into my account to see if I have any new mail, anybody know how to add the alert thanks.

Hi Val,

Have you got the Yahoo toolbar installed as I think you need that to get alerts.
I have a yahoo account but not the toolbar so have to check the account.

I have MSN toolbar and get alerts for the hotmail account.
