  • Welsh name?

Came across baptism for possible rellie of husband, Sage Evan. Thought it must be a mistranscription, but it seems to be a female name used a bit in Wales.

Never come across it before. Is it a flower/plant name like Rosemary?

Found this Nell..Its a lovely name.

The boy's and girl's name Sage is pronounced sayj. It is of Latin origin, and its meaning is "wise, healthy". The name has associations with sagebrush, cowboys, and the Wild West. It is used for both sexes

Sage has 2 variant forms: Saige and Sayge.

Thanks. I'd never come across it before. I expect I shall notice it a lot now!

Could be a surname being used as a first name - I have Sage as a surname in my tree in the Bristol area.
