    Avast ~ New Version

    I notice that there is a new version of Avast (free) available and the message says 'click here to install'.

    I have Windows Vista and the last time I installed a new version my PC was not happy.

    Has anyone installed the New Version and if so did you unistall the older one first? Any tips welcome.

    I have downloaded it and up to now it seems ok. but i only have windows xp
    did not delete old copy first

      I've installed all updates and new versions on Vista and have had no problems at all. I haven't done a fresh install or anything, I just let it update/install over the older version as each new version comes along.
