Raven, check both images and see if one has been mistranscribed.

        Me neither, raven. :(

If it was a birth or death I would suggest using the local register office instead of the GRO, but I presume you don't know the date or venue for the marriage?

For the GRO, I would probably order the cert under his name and page number and then put a note in the reference checking bit about the other possible page number and cross my fingers.

Think we might be able to figure it out from the district / page mappings, give me a few minutes...

Okay, all the other marriages for Glendale in Mar 1916 have page numbers in the range 833 to 840.

The district / page mapping for that quarter on FreeBMD is not complete yet, but looking at the other quarters for that year the district order within vol 10b should always have Berwick, Glendale, Rothbury, Penrith in that order. For the March quarter the page range shown for Berwick is 809 to 832 and for Rothbury it is 841 to 850, so the page range for Glendale would fit in between those two and should definitely be 833 to 840.

So, the page number you want is 838.

1916 Q1 is 97% complete on FreeBMD. The marriage records for Glendale district only number 18 names at present. 17 of those names fall into page rage 833-840, so I would say page 888 (Joseph's) is the one that is wrong.
