It's the second to last line - the occupation of Daniel Gerry - Bible Something Minister. Is that middle word a very bad spelling of Christian??

I think you are right with Christian - enumerator has used the "f" to represent an "s" - look at the birth place of Sussex about 3 lines down - similar use there.

That's what I thought Elaine, but he's left out the "h" at the beginning and mucked up the end of the word completely!
An enumerator who can't spell Christian ......TUT, TUT!!!

It loks like Cri-rious' I can't say that I can see even a badly spelt christian in this but there you go.
I do not think it is a C now if you look at Curtis on the bottom line left that is a very different C.

There is a church called Bible Christians where I live. Rather an odd religion!

It seems Bible Christian Minster is a recognised title. There's several in the NA. This is one of them.
The National Archives | National Register of Archives | Person details | Archive Details
and here's the history of the group - with a connection to Devon.

I love it! Nothing like an odd religion to liven up family history!
