  • Can anyone find Eliza and Emma please

I have Eliza Fletcher born c1842 to Francis and Elizabeth Fletcher in Derby.

In 1863 Eliza gives birth to illigitimate twins John and Emma, birth cert for John say his grandfather Francis registered the birth.

John is adopted by his aunt and uncle, who changes his suname to Baggaley.

!871 John is on the census with his uncle and aunt Joseph and Elizabeth Baggaley, as a nephew and Francis Fletcher, his grandfather.

So what happened to Eliza and Emma after the birth?
    Did they both die?

I have found a death for a Elizabeth Fletcher in 1863, but FFHS say shes 62.

After John marries in 1884, he gives his children the surname Fletcher-Baggaley.

Can anyone find what happened to Eliza and emma please.

There's an Eliza Fletcher death in Burton Dec 1863, Eliza Alice Fletcher death in Derby the same quarter, one in Belper Sep 1864, and of course there are lots if she died further away from Derby.

That Emma was too early Kite, the twins were born 4 April 1863.

Oops just read you said 1864, so could be her.

              Thank you.
