  • Phoebe Kirk nee Sharratt lost after 1866

I have Phoebe Sharratt (Sherratt) born 1844 in Newborough / Hoar Cross, Staffs.

    This is her in 1851 HO107; Piece: 2010; Folio: 399; Page: 7

In 1866 she married Joseph Kirk at Newborough. (Uttoxeter Sep qtr 6b 393)

At the time of the marriage Joseph was living in Walsall, Staffs. Other than that I have no further info on him.

After the marriage in 1866 they seem to have fallen off the edge of the world

Any help at all would be appreciated

Not that it answers your question but I don't think you have the right Joseph in 1861, because that one still seems to be living at home with parents in 1871

You could be right there Elaine

I know nothing about him other than he was living in Walsall at the time of his marriage.

      I will amend the posting

Hi Margaret, do you know if they had any children at all?

This might be a red herring but I'll put it down here while I go and investigate, maybe someone else could look as well.

In 1871 there is a Phoebe Turner, born right place, husband Joseph and living in Uttoxeter reg district. I guess I'm hoping for a name change or something, could be completely wrong person but going to look into the family.

I don't know about you Elaine but I can't see any of that family after 1871 either.
