I have this marriage from familyhistoryonline:
Robert Jaggard & Phoebe Maynard 13 Apr 1854 Chippenham, Cambridgeshire
Both otp
Grooms father Joseph, gamekeeper
Brides father Richard, farmer
wits, Esther Maynard & Emma Jaggard
Same marriage from Ancestry BMD;
Robert Jaggard & Phoebe Maynard
1854 Jun Q
Newmarket reg dist Cambridgeshire
Volume 3b page 779
Looking ok so far..
but on 1861 census Robert appears to be married to Esther.
1861: RG9; Piece: 1035; Folio: 19; Page: 32
Their 1st child, Esther Elizabeth Jaggard, was baptised 6 May 1855. daughter of Robert & Esther - not Phoebe. - from familyhistoryonline
Did Robert remarry, possibly to Phoebe's sister a witness at marriage?. I can't see a death for Phoebe Jaggard anyway.
Ther's another marriage for Robert Jaggard:
1855 Dec Q Newmarket vol 3b page 1230 but only one female on page and its not Esther.
This may not be the same Robert Jaggard, it was a popular name!
Am I missing something obvious here please? Can any one find a death for Phoebe or the missing female for 1855 marriage?
Thanks for looking
