Mary Tamsen Reid

I am looking for info on my ggg grandmother Mary Tamsen Reid who was born in 1802 in Somerset (I think) England. She came to Ontario Canada with her husband, George Westcott, and 3 daughters between 1842-1855. I know nothing of her family, though there's a story of her being of royal blood, and she ran off and married the gardener. I know it's probably not true, but I would love to find out more about her family.

Debbie, I'm wondering if you have some more information which might help us to trace George and his wife back? You say her name was Mary Tamsen Reid, but the stuff people on here have found so far just names her as Tamsin or Tamsen, so can you tell us where you got the Mary from, please? It would help us a lot in trying to find her marriage to George and her baptism.

If Tamsin died 1895 she should be on 1881 Canadian census but I can't see her or George.

There were 4 daughters. Catherine was born abt 1830 and Charlotte was born in 1840, both born in Wells, Somerset England. The other two daughters were born in Canada. I don't know what George did for a living in England, he was a farmer in Canada. He was born in 1810 in Wells, Somerset. Tamsen Reid was born in 1802, but I'm not sure where. I'd really love to be able to find something on the Reid family. Thanks for helping.
