  • Can anyone find Ann Smith Rumball?

I have an old sampler done by Ann Smith Rumball, no date. I suspect she may be related to my gt gt grandmother Amy or Emma (she was know by both names) Smith b1820 d 1884, she was born in Gt Pardon Essex. I can't find Ann anywhere, can anyone find her please?

Well, was she Ann Smith Rumball maiden name, or was Smith her maiden name and Rumball her married name?

There are lots of Ann Rumball and variants on familysearch. Without knowing when/where ASR came from, its hard to be sure you'd find the right one.

There's an Ann Smith who married a Joseph Rumball in Topcroft, Norfolk (where my gt gt gt grandfather got married) in 1727.

Unfortunately I don't know if Smith was her maiden name. The sampler came down through the family so I'm guessing it's something to do with Amy (Emma) Smith's family.
I'll have another look on Family Search at the Ann Smith and Joseph Rumball.
