Records Centre lookup

Is there any service available to do a lookup on a birth index at the family records centre? I visited the FRC in Islington only to find it had moved to Kew which is too far for me to go. I need to lookup a record in order to purchase a birth certificate.

These records are available online. If you don't have access (Ancestry or FindMyPast or Family Relatives, or free on FreeBMD but only up to around 1920) then could you tell us what you are looking for and someone will probably be able to look it up for you. If it's a living person though please don't post the details (against the T&C's of the site), but if you need a lookup you can pm me......
