  • 1851- Can you find John Sharratt, I can't

John Sharratt (sometimes looks like Sherratt) born 1838.

Place of birth was Hoar Cross, Staffordshire, but maybe listed as Newborough or Yoxall.

1841 he was with his parents but 1851 is just a mystery.

He must be badly transcribed, its driving me mad.

    UPDATE

I've just taken another look at the cert. He was born on 28 Dec. The birth was registered on 8 Jan. The only year listed is 1838. That is at the top. Do you reckon that means he was born in Dec 1837?

The year should be stated in the date column. What is the date in the registration column?

          Hi Pam

Parents are Thomas and Phoebe (transcribed as Thos and Phelia)

          They are here in 1851 HO107; Piece: 2010; Folio: 399; Page: 6

The registration is Jan-Feb- Mar 1838 so I would guess the birth was 1837.

                  Thank you Nell.

I assumed that but wanted confirmation.
