How long before 1886? Any ideas?

There's one in 1881...either Emily Foden or Elizabeth Manning
1885....Catherine Ryder or Mary Ann Beaseley

    Both are Wandsworth

There are two in 1886 and some earlier.

Sounds like it could be the 1885.....you'd think there'd be another child (unless the poor little mite didn't make it) if he married in 1881.

What's the little one's name? That might help. Do you have them on the 1891? Let me know a place or John's birth date/place and I'll check.

I thought it would be that one. He's living with the Beeney family so I guess it's this one (mentioned earlier)

                  Beeney Amy Wandsworth 1d 1103

Sheila....................there is also a marriage in 1886 of a John James Fuller. With a little fellow named James might be him.

So John could be the brother or brother in law of Rebecca Beeney.

Just a though as he has a daughter Rebecca.

Having said that, the only matching death is this one:

Having said that too, Thomas Beeney in 1871 has a sister called Amy aged 7 b Wandsworth, which fits pretty well with the age at death for Amy R Fuller.

                          Births Jun 1863
                          BEENY Amy Wandsworth 1d 474

Maybe the Fullers lived there until Amy died if she is the mother?

The Beeney child is Amy, isn't she?

Yes you are right John Fuller and Rebecca Beeney were brother amd sister-in-law, but as John married Amy Beeney in c 1889 that still leaves Rebecca Fuller age 6 without a mother.

I those day if a child was born out of wedlock it would take the mothers name ????? so John must have married befor Amy Beeney

Their dau, Rebecca, was born before the marriage:

                                Name: Rebecca Beeney
                                Year of Registration: 1886
                                Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar
                                District: Wandsworth
                                County: Greater London, London, Surrey
                                Volume: 1d
                                Page: 748

There's no birth reg for a Rebecca Fuller in the right place.

No, it was 1886 (Q4), as you said, after Rebecca was born, but not too long after!

So that was the Q after little James was registered.

                                      What happened to Amy?

Yes James was born in the July Q of 1889 Amy died 3 months later
I can't find Amy Fuller on the 1901 census. I think that the spelling of her name may have been changed by ?????
